    Default Beginner Buying A Controller

Ok so i'm completely new to all this and i want to get a controller, i have around 200 euro to spend. I was thinking of getting the Numark Mixtrack Pro and would greatly appreciate any advice and opinions on this controller or whether i should get something else. Thanks in advance!

Although the MixTrack is big and made of plastic, it does get the job done. The knobs, faders, and jogs don't feel like they're going to break. The buttons on the controller are pretty nice, but the play/cue/cup/sync buttons aren't arcade ones. :P

Also, the effects sections are pretty limited. You'd probably be best off adding another controller to your setup, like the LPD8, to have some more effects control.

That is an EPIC deal! Two deck controller with built-in sound and MIDI cards? Sweet. Although I've never had my hand at one, the Xponent was one of the few I was considering buying as an upgrade after my MixTrack. It is really made for Torq, but can easily be re-mapped to Traktor. You should investigate this controller for any damage before buying it, though.

yeah its seems too good to be true, i will check it thoroughly if i go for it although being a complete beginner i wouldn't even know what could be wrong with it or how to test it. Also considering i already have traktor i want to make sure it works well with it as i can't afford other software!

Check for some cosmetic damage, for sure. Maybe you could ask the seller to demonstrate it or hook it up to Traktor or Torq for you?
