I've got the midi out of the actual S4 Controller, into the midi in on the padkontrol. I am trying to send out a midi timecode from traktor on one laptop into lightjockey on another. the reason I'm going through the padKONTROL is because that is what I have in my arsenal, and I didn't want to go out and spend the money if the pad would work. Right now I can get midi-ox on the second computer to read timecoded signals coming in, but I cannot get LightJockey to recognize them. I've set up lightjockey to have the MIDI timecode device as padKONTROL 1 midi in. I don't know if I'm missing something.

cool - well at least if midi-ox can see the messages then it can only be a software issue (of some kind) with lighjockey then. i actually didn't realise that the S4 had *real* midi ports - that's kind of cool... so you're basically using the S4 and padkontrol in the same way as i described using 2 cheap usb/midi adapters.

a quick google came up with some info that lightjockey can trigger stuff from midi on/off events - but couldn't see anything about actual "sync"

Using MIDI note commands LightJockey can launch sequences (flash sequences, see cue control), cues, background cues and cue lists.
