Very clean Pakubear. It's funny how there's just enough room on this desk to put a Kontrol X1 inbetween one of the techs and the mixer (which you'd move close to the other deck) and a laptop running Serato or Traktor Scratch Pro for vinyl control on the top shelf

Serato is easier? What nonsense. Both are stupidly easy to use. A child could set it up for vinyl control.

^ I'm with you but plenty of people will disagree with that - it has a lot to do with computer literacy. I've seen loads of people complain about how difficult it is to MIDI map something in Traktor, but to me and most people on this forum its a pretty straight forward process. Serato is easier to setup than Traktor but that's not a terribly significant point because they're both pretty damn easy.

Yeah but midi mapping isn't required for vinyl control.

For both programs you just download, install, wire up the card, plug in your card, put the vinyl on the mixer and load the program. Tada.

I was talking more about the midi aspect of it, and how user friendly it was on that aspect especially on controllers so I don't have to be on the laptop all the time. sorry for any confusion. thanks for the help anyway
