    Default Xone DX: Master Volume

    Hi guys,

I've recently picked up a second-hand Xone DX. I'm currently customizing the excellent MixArchitekt mapping for Traktor Pro 2 (thank you).

However, while the volume LEDs (PPMs, I presume) for the channels work perfectly, the Master and Cue LEDs are not showing. I've tried in TPro 2.03 and TPro 2.1, making sure to reset the MIDI mappings each time, but it doesn't work.

Anyone know what I might be doing wrong? I can't find a MIDI schematic of the DX to set this up myself

    Cheers,
    -W

As far as I remember the master leds are hard wired to the soundcard so you don't have midi control over it as for the channel leds they use pre fader volume (mappable). You can find a midi scheme for the dx within its manual (I don't have it anymore so I can't help, did you check the Xone's website?).

There’s also an almost hermetic community that exists in many areas of dance music, where serious hobbyists feed off each other’s expertise but barely connect to the industry – despite many of those involved actually working in it.

    Hey guys,

You are right. The LEDs are wired to the sound-card channels automatically, with one caveat.

If you open Itch, the LEDs get wired to Itch. When you close Itch, they stop responding at all.

To fix this you need to power-cycle the DX.
