    only djing? or do u want some ableton-live-clipcontrol or efx control? just 2 decks and pure djing? i would recommend a NIs2 if you have the extra money for the company-logo-brand

    have an audio interface already or need one?

    By controllerism do you mean 'controllerism' routines or just mixing with a midi controller and occasionally abusing the beatmasher?

    Severely disagree. Maybe if you're ACTUALLY doing controllerism or spinning house and dubstep for effects. Even then, I'd second think a midi fighter.

    See where I'm going with this? There are plenty of people here more than willing to help, but you have to provide more information than "I want to spend x dollars, and want to do controllerism" best suggestion: do some research, and then come back with a list of what you have looked at that you like, and ask for opinions. Or you can look at the "best controller for $500" thread,

    if you are just starting out get something second hand. Just like the first car, get something that you can beatup and see if you really dig this DJ thing.

    That said I would get a VCI-100 arcade. That thing is built like a tank and perfect to start.
