I saw in your sig that you are using an external drive. Is your library on that external drive?

If so then that could be your problem. A lot of external drives shut down, and require time to spin back up when accessed.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

@ garygary, if i disable search indexing from the link you posted, will i still be able to search from my start menu, as i'd say i use that feature almost as much as traktor's internal search function.

My money is on the search. I say search, it's the indexing that is the real culprit. Windows goes through the contents of you hard drive(s) looking for new/updated files and then adds the contents and metedata of those files to it's index. This indexing process screws with lots of apps and is probably more troublesome than wifi. Traktor search should not be affected as it will be using it's own code rather than relying on Windows Indexing.

When you turn Searching Off you can still search but it does not reference the Index file, it just executes the old school brute force search.

Be sure to turn off the sub-space relay and disengage the power couplings if you are going to do that. The thermal jacks will need re-aligning too.
