    not even close dude.

I don't know where you people are that you think technics are dead. the second hand market is exactly the same and the prices of used technics are exactly the same as they were a year ago. I can still hop on craigslist and pick up a pair of 1200s for $500 cash any day of the week and I can get them cheaper with a little patience.

Technics will last for decades and aren't going anywhere and will be the industry standard for years to come- there is no shortage of them around and clubs are still going to buy them.

DVS ? meh ! Hardly any difference when I use my S4 so thats pretty pointless.
I'm much more into the real deal, and I was already looking on second hand websites
Just gotta find one for a nice price, but most of them only sell em as pairs.

I also found one that was pretty much a steal, and got super excited, but turns out it was a regular 1200, what a fail !

    seems it's 100 to 150 euros more expensive to get a mk5 compared to a mk2
I'm guessing that it's not worth that extra money...

Yep, people want more for MK5s. Finding a pair on the cheap is very unlikely.

I own a pair of M5G's, they are the pride of my setup. Technics are no longer produced so yeah they are kinda dead... In 5 years time, anyone looking to buy a pair of wheels of steel brand new is going to find it very difficult.

    Two things,

    1) Why do you view DVS as hardly any difference to S4? Its nothing similiar!

    2) Why wouldn't you want to buy it as a pair

What? using a DVS dosen't mean hitting sync when you cant do it, IDK about traktor but in SSL vinyl speed fluctuates so it constantly goes in and out of time which youve got to fix, CONSTANTLY.

Whats wrong with regualr 1200? 1200 and 1210 are 99% the same, other than the colour and a few small changes that are un-noticable to a newbie. its actually 1200>1210 but we will leave that for now

Imo, i dont think you have a clue.

My understanding was that the main difference between 1200's and 1210's was the side of the Atlantic you were buying them from.
