Going to think I am funny but the most comfortable headphones are still the trusty Sony MDR 7506's studio monitors. They are cheap, light, sound great and most of all they are comfortable. I have tried others but can't find any others that feel the same. Can be bought for under $100.00

Yeah…7506 and HD25s are my favorite headphones. The HD25s win out for me, but they also cost twice as much and were a gift.

If you're looking for pure comfort, the 7506s are hard to beat. The HD25s sound better to my ears, but they do feel weird because they sit on top of your ears instead of around them. Mine are also old enough that the pads have come off the headband (and i'm too lazy/cheap to replace them) so they bug the top of my head after a while…but it's also been like 4 years since I replaced the headband.

I use HD-25 Mk IIs, and while I haven't tried the Pioneers, I assume they're supraural like the Senns? If your earlobes are sensitive to long-term pressure and start to hurt because of that, the HD-25s will be no better for you.

You should look for closed back circumaural headphones, where the cans won't put any pressure on your earlobe. And of course, circumaural cans are even bigger and even more old school.. I quite liked the AKG K271 Mk II for studio work, but they might not be to every DJ's liking for tonal balance.

My 7506's are more comfortable on my ears than my HD25's. I still prefer the HD25's mostly because of weight I think.

    HD2000's are circumaural.

Well as far as I know the Pioneer's are over ear and that Senn's are on ear. I'm not familiar with the correct terms, but thats the main difference. My thinking is if after long term use, and gigs, from over ear headphones then maybe on ear ones would be more comfortable.

I've also heard that the Senn's are very comfortable after long term use.

Anything over 4 hours of constant wear and the senns hurt my ears.

You have both the TMA's and the Senn's if I'm not mistaken hey Chris?

Which ones fit more comfortably or tightly on your head? Not to say your head is the same size as mine, but just to give some more insight into their fit.

Have you ever tried out the Pioneer's?

I have a hint that maybe on ear headphones like the Senns might feel a lot more comfortable after long hours of use compared to the Pioneer's plus they much lighter.

I wish I knew someone close by that had a pair for me to try, and compare...

I had the HD25's for a while man and they just were too tight. Clamping pressure was too much for me. But a lot of other ppl love the feel and so I think it totally depends on your head and what you like.

Honestly dude if you found the Pioneer's which are circumaural to hurt your ears, I don't think the Senn's will be any better and actually think it might be worse! But that's just my two cents bro.

I'm personally about to buy the Sony v6's :-)

Headphones are something that is totally personal. Person A might LOVE a certian headphone yet person B cant stand them.
Headphones are no different than a pair of pants or a jacket. If i wear size 32 jeans that fit me perfectly and styled the way i like mean that the person who is 230lbs should wear the same jeans?

At the end of the day its all about you and what you like.

The only exception to the rule here is if you wear any Dr. Dre Beats while Djing...you will look like the douche bag wearing the Ed Hardy shirt 2 sizes to small for him.

I dont care if you use 2 ipads...2 cassette tapes...or a washboard and a wooden spoon...if you rock it, you rock it.

Well I'm hoping that being a different size ear cup, and being much lighter, they will feel more comfortable for me.

I'm still undecided about it though..

Yeah you right man, I think I need to try and find someone that has a pair to compare them, but here where I am, its gonna be very difficult.
