you need to update to the latest version of Traktor 1.1

this is not a good idea. You need visual feedback of when a loop or an FX is on and with both in one section thats impossible.

yes cue storage is only realistic when the track is not playing. We have reached the maximum number of modifiers on all controlls- so there is no way to separate those functions. Cue cue storage and Cue mappings happen and the regular commands of those controlls ALSO happen because we are out of modifiers and there is no way for me to program it otherwise.

Hey its compromise but now you have cue storage and before there was none.

if anyone has any tips on compressing files for PC's on the mac it would be much appreciated- apparently we still don't have this thing figured out yet.

To the PC folks that are having issues, have you been abel to open the last 3 TSI's that were sent out in .ZIP files?
All the other zip files (1.3-2.1) was ok to open with PC. Only problem with the last 2.2 tsi

Hi guys this message is brought to you by my local pubs free wifi. I remapped the fx on the eq buttons to become pan for each deck and it's awesome especially for those who do all their mixing on the vci. It makes layering 4 tracks sound a lot better and more interesting.

I'll try and post the tsi later this week.

By the way I'm off to Japan for all of April. I am planning on calling in to vestax to give them all a hug. I'll make sure they know it's from all the se users.

Hehheh, tell me about it! There's been a good number of users pestering NI to allow for more modifiers in TPro - I still don't quite understand why the number was limited to 8. In my own tsi I've got at least 5 modifiers running 4 or 5 different values apiece. Unfortunately I've found it to be the only way to include all the features I want. It works, but damn if it doesn't make programming a bitch!

On the cue mapping subject though, do you have any modifiers in 2.2 that have only two value states? If you can sacrifice the function of that modifier for a moment to engage cue map mode, the tsi might be programmed using that modifier, and whatever other modifiers get in the way could change state momentarily. Example: Say chained/advanced is Mod 1 and has values of 0 and 1 respectively. Say the transport buttons are responding to Mod 2. Hitting a button engages cue map mode. If Mod 1 is value 0 it becomes value 2, and if Mod 1 value is 1, it becomes 3. Mod 2 (the one effecting transport) jumps to an unused value, and now mapping the cue won't affect transport. Then the buttons used to cue map can jump all modifiers back to the states they were in previously, and rocking can continue. I love this concept (big ups Ean!), I'm just debating adding it into my own file cause I know it'll take a lot of time to account for every value state the vci could be in. (All my modifiers are used up too).
Just when I think I can stop obsessively programming, someone comes up with another great idea to incorporate...!

Got to agree. Decompresses fine under Linux, broken under Winzip on Windows.

UPDATE: Got it to uncompress using "unzip.exe" command line tool using "unzip -j <filename.zip>", where the "-j" option junks the directory structure. The problem was that Unzip is unable to create the subdirectories with the requested file permissions, so it fails to make the directories and all of the files in them get skipped.

Love this 2.2 map, especially the "several ways to do the same thing" philosophy - drop a loop using the loop key or using the FX bank. Tweak FX using the FX bank or the filter knobs. Love having 4 decks at last.

The center "toggle file browser" button toggles nothing for me. Some strange interactions between the Deck C/DeckD buttons and the Decks C/D performance mode switch where Deck D was being controlled but wasn't onscreen. I guess I just confused the thing.

Filter knob FX - Still working out how to use them. Good when you want to tweak knobs on both sides at the same time. Not often I've been able to do that yet.

Just a few ideas for add-ons I have had:

As mentioned before, include a search command with the browser up/down buttons. This way when you toggle into browser mode to find your next track, the cursor automatically jumps into the search box and highlights any text already in the box. This means that you no longer have to drag your mouse over the box, click and then delete all the text. Just simply hit browse and type away!

From here I have added a 'search clear' command to the load buttons. This makes things even easier again and just clears the search bar so you reset to the playlist you were in beforehand. I find this handy when mixing tracks in a set playlist and finding the exact one you want quickly, then jumping back to the playlist and allowing you to carry on from there.

    Hello folks,

i'm new to midi mapping and modifiers. is there anyway to program the loop out function to also sync the track? the desired result would be to mess with a loops length often letting it drift out of time, then when i disengage that loop, the track plays in time with the rest of the mix.
