100% in agreement with you @rev1911. After reading my initial post it sounded like I wanted something to take all the work out of the initial process of getting tracks together but thats not really the case. I am just looking for something a bit better than iTunes and more geared for DJ'ers.

    Right on, man.

AudioFinder looks like a promising option for that purpose.

Never seen that one either! That looks really nice.

Now if I could find a program that had some of my feature requests I would be in heaven on my non DJ laptops!

May be automatic but 6 speed 3/4ton diesel makes up for that aspect lol.

    My two cents...

I would be inclined to agree with this if Mixed in Key weren't such an inaccurate tool for determinine the root key of a track. So much of the time it takes a prominent frequency and determines that to be the key. I see a lot of other DJ's using the mixed in key system and their mixes are harmonically awful. A good tool won't make you a decent musician, a relatively rubbish one even less so. The only great thing about mixed in key is the Camelot wheel, which is just a straight up copy of the circle of fifths...

I guess we can look forward to even more mashups for the tone deaf in the near future...

But I still have to click. When I can just tell my computer what songs I want, and it mixes, beatmatches, and adds fx without me lifting a finger, then we talk.

This doesn't account for acapellas, which will not simply line up with a grid, all acapellas tend to fluctuate a little bit.

Your car is an automatic regardless of having some sort of manual shifting capability. It does not have a clutch pedal. You put it in drive and go. You want automated set creation assistance through an app that does the prep for you.

This means you want less choice than you currently have. You want the choice made for you.

I originally Created this thread to sarcastically illustrate the automation available to DJs. While I wholeheartedly believe technology and tools are both good and useful, I also firmly believe that having things done for you is anti-productive in the long run.

This post is not meant to be an attack on you, my friend. I'm just making my point.
Wait, so driving an automatic is anti-productive?
    nope.

Normally it's just the track's original swing and it won't differ from having to warp a funky track. If it's a track with straight BPM, then you probably set the start point wrong or your BPM reading is incorrect (should be the same as the album version of a song).
