As i said in another thread, gimme the mixer and i'll put some infinium inside
Or gimme 4 of the one with the pads, and then i'd have a perfect 16x4 step sequencer with encoders to boots !

My mind was completely blown away... by the pricing! Products look sick, but affordable too? Insane.

They sure are a step up from the BCD3000, as well.

So so so sweet. Where's nem0mic? I have plenty of questions for him :P

I really think the CMD DC-1 should have banks on those pads. I hope you can set it up so the numbered buttons switch banks rather than send midi data themselves.

It's great to see so many people liking the product for what it is, rather than hating the company for what it was. Behringer (Bear-ring-jer, not Be-ringer ) are a great company moving forward, trying to help musicians/DJs etc with cheap, but effective products. It's about time people stopped slagging them off, and took them seriously (cause it sounds like they have more of this sort of stuff in the pipeline). Read the Scratchworx article and you will see that they could have charged more, but didn't want to - surely you'd prefer to buy your kit of a company like this than one who are only interested in how much they can get out of you for their latest equipment?? Charging as little as possible, whilst still being economic is Behringers policy - how can anyone moan at that???

I have bought some of their PA kit (amps, xovers), and it's great stuff. Hey, I've even still got my BCD3000 which started my whole transformation from vinyl to MP3 - and I still use it to rock parties (admittedly, not the jogs tho, ok not the buttons either really, but the pots are all in use ).

Behringer are a big company (see their manufacturing 'village' in China, it's big). With their clout they are going to become big players soon - yeah, some people will always turn up their nose in disgust (like some people still do with Numark), but if they want to pay over the odds for worse gear, let them! Brand snobbery sucks, and people who claim you can ONLY rock a club with Pioneer gear... well

Kudos to everyone on here for looking at the product, not the company. (sorry, have had so many slaggings on other posts today, it's great to come 'home' and see this response... not just a kneejeck 'Behringer=s**t'). I remember now why I do most of my posting here!

Keep up the good work y'all.

P.S. Now hopefully Gemini (yes, Gemini) can make their CDJ700 as they promised - they said it's supposed to be waay better than their previous stuff (they must know that they were getting a bad rep & could not let it continue). If so, it could be a great time coming up with cheap, but good equipment (my favourite type) - I couldn't care less who builds it, I only care how well it works and how it holds up to the rigours of the road (as our free parties are pretty tough on equipment!).

    Thanks if you read this

DC-1 screams sample deck volume/filters for this S2 user!

Nice looking affordable stuff all the way around.

Actually, something cool about the ableton clip grid controller- you could map a button to shift the box one full width to the left/right (this is possible, right?) and get control over all your channels with no worries since you don't have to worry about fader position as it has encoders rather than knobs. At first I thought that 4 columns wasn't many but baring this in mind it doesn't matter so much.

I have spotted this at the end of the brochure from their site:

Seams that controllers are going to be linkable but on all pics I have seen I can't find more than one usb on the back...
