At the moment my budget does not allow for a new controller (after my recent purchase of a Mac). But the fully custom midi controller greatly appeals to me.
I am very pleased with my Xone DX mapped to Traktor 2. I like the layout, buildquality and feel of it. However.. there are always a few things I would still change given the full customized option. (leaving the Jogwheel parts out and replacing them with an encoder and a couple of buttons would be the main one).
I can't help myself from looking up al sorts of stuff now on custum build midi controllers.
May I ask, is this based on MIDIBOX64?
Faders, buttons etc. are not hard to find, but a good strong case or enclosure to put the stuff in (about 35-40mm long and 25-30mm deep) is a bit harder to find.
Don't mean to hack your thread. Please post more pics (insides) and clips!
EDIT: sorry for this repost. I thought it did not post the first time... did not see the post appear...![]()
That tutorial would be easy, ok I'll do that with some code snippets.
Don't go the old HDD route, it will only cause frustrations.
I'll keep an eye on your project !!
Nice, are you from Belgium ?
nope, from the netherlands, although my great grand father came from belgium.
(and not that i want to be rude, but this is a bit off topic... a pm would be better i guess)
Would also be grrrreat to have these Arcade buttons (that's what I would want myself anyways):
