completely true! that's exactly why i started building these controllers in the first place... and nope it's build on top of the arduino mega.

well, you're welcome to send me a pm if you ever change your mind or need help designing your own controller.

At the moment my budget does not allow for a new controller (after my recent purchase of a Mac). But the fully custom midi controller greatly appeals to me.

I am very pleased with my Xone DX mapped to Traktor 2. I like the layout, buildquality and feel of it. However.. there are always a few things I would still change given the full customized option. (leaving the Jogwheel parts out and replacing them with an encoder and a couple of buttons would be the main one).

I can't help myself from looking up al sorts of stuff now on custum build midi controllers.

May I ask, is this based on MIDIBOX64?

Faders, buttons etc. are not hard to find, but a good strong case or enclosure to put the stuff in (about 35-40mm long and 25-30mm deep) is a bit harder to find.

Don't mean to hack your thread. Please post more pics (insides) and clips!

EDIT: sorry for this repost. I thought it did not post the first time... did not see the post appear...

Congratulations ;-) Guess we are on the same building level here. The last controller still has no jogs ?

I speak dutch too, if you want details about my jogs feel free to pm.
well i use my turntables as jogs, i have investigated the option of using old HDD's though. and for selecting tracks i use a rotary encoder with knob so it uses less space.

i searched for your topic, looks nice! why don't you make a tutorial on how to build these jogs?

That tutorial would be easy, ok I'll do that with some code snippets.
Don't go the old HDD route, it will only cause frustrations.

I'll keep an eye on your project !!

All metal.. nice! Are you going to custom build the metal casing or have it made or order a pre-made from somewhere?
