And, yeah, Set was just about the weirdest place I've been. Sasha played an awesome set, but man, that place is weird. I don't regret going, but I wouldn't go back.

Yeah I hear WMC is the one exception where clubs in south beach don't suck so much because they have to accommodate people from out of town who come out to actually dance and hear music. Every other time of the year it's VIP in the middle of the dance floor and last time I was there the VIP area looked even bigger than it did there. They do have a good sound system at Mansion but the usual crowd is pretty lame.

Having just seen Dennis on friday, i can honestly say he was GREAT! (one of my top 3 favorites). instead of kicking dennis off the decks they should of fired the booking manager for the club. Its great that Dennis is getting some free pr, but its a real mood killer when shit like that happens.

Oh well, he's a great guy and I'm sure it won't effect him much.

The Miami scene IME has always been more about showing eveyone how much money you have than enjoying music. Still wierd to boot a paid, touring headliner.

    Welcome to South Beach

I remember a few years ago in NY I went to see Boys Noize and Webster Hall did that and I was really annoyed and confused. They never did that at any other show I had been to there and it was really annoying and I think I hated boys noize for a time after that but it was probably just the venue that pissed me off. I think all the south beach venues do this now which is why I stick to downtown miami.

    This. +100

People don't go to mega clubs in Miami to dance.

It's ALL about bottles, tables, showing off, and being catered too. On an average night a VIP table and couch at LIV is a 2g's minimum. Sometimes 5g's depending where it is on the floor. The club would lose tons of cash just to have more room for people to dance.

Agree with Xone. That's every club on South Beach, downtown Miami you have much more of a local and normal crowd.

People behind the scenes at Lizard Lounge have confirmed that his mixes are premade (possibly by someone else)

But, much like Pauly D, he gets people in the clubs so he gets booked.

Meh...it's doable with the sound off

Still wondering why that dude with the stupid mask is in there though, it would be an even better movie without him
