Serato has made no claims that the vci-400 works with itch. In no way have they marketed it in any way as so.

People go out and buy this controller.
Then whine that it does not work with itch.

    Scratch head time?????
No. I think I'm right. They bought a controller that feels amazing (for a controller) and is plenty good for them to grow with. And it comes with free software that will give them everything they need to learn on.

When they eventually want to upgrade, they pretty much have to go with Traktor……unless you're one of the 5 people who thinks VDJ isn't a joke. But, that's fine. That's a valid choice, and without re-writing a good bit of Itch and destroying other products, the VCI-400 can't work with it. It would be dumb for Serato to do that. If nothing else, they'd have to screw over Novation.

But, no, they're pissed off because they bought exactly what they needed (a good controller with good beginner software that they can grow with long after they figure out it's not all toys and bitches) but they're pissed off because they can't use 4 decks………which was basically invented by other marketing losers to sell Traktor.

Just because 90% of the mixes done on four decks now are a jumbled mess doesn't mean it's a joke.

I haven't heard it add much. Ritchie Hawtin gets away with it, and there are a few other people in the minimal scene…and I can see it making a difference for top40, but I don't think top40 DJs should exist…for the vast majority of people…I don't think it adds much. 3 is the right number IMHO, and no controllers are really set up to do that.

Yes quad core is great but if the programmers haven't written for multicore it won't matter.

Was not referring to d class CPUs mean core 2 duos and quads. If the programming isn't written to utilize the added space in the bus( might e wrong here can't remember) it will still bottle neck.

However there were alot of issues with traktor and te initial i7s if I remember correctly.

Don't own an i7 so can't comment on it too much I run core 2 quads and duos still as have not needed to upgrade since purchasing some time ago
