traktor problem

Hey guys, I just bought a s4 today and ive been trying to set it up and ive been running into a couple problems. For some reason the volume levers and crossfader does not work, even if i if lower everything i can still hear music playing, same with the crossfader.

the other problem is I cant hear music coming out of my headphones. The first time I started traktor it worked normal but since then it has not worked.

last prob is that i cant hear my second deck even though there is a song playing and everything is turned up.

If anyone could help me with this I would be extremely grateful.

Did you carefully follow the set up directions in the manual?
Sounds like your output routing (found in preferences) isn't set up correctly for starters, and check your sound card set up.
Once that is set up, the headphones have a volume and mix knob on the front of the S4, adjust the mix knob to hear only the deck you have the cue button lit up on, or also/just what is playing out through the speakers.

As far as your deck playing, but no sound goes.... Let's first get set up right and work from there.

Sounds like you have it set on external mixing. Set it to Internal.

Good call on the external vs internal. I haven't used external in a long time, and never made the mistake of selecting the wrong mode, lol.

If you can see the faders on the screen your internal if you can't your external.
