Queue up a conversation I had last night with a friend. We're really early in the idea, but……the world could use something that worked along those lines…something that didn't just sign artists and maybe put out their songs but actually fostered people growing as artists and had the resources to do things that just aren't possible for a bedroom producer.

I like that Idea. Also that would create a tight knit family like label, how things used to be not today where you dont know anybody else on the labe lpersonally unless youve been there a long time

Something will be happening. We've got a lot of prep work to do, finding the right people for certain things, and generating the startup cash.

I'll be posting details on forums when we get closer.

Our target demographic will be to any of those who like electronic music. We won't be sticking solely to one genre, so if our music appeals to them then great, if not, maybe other releases of ours might. Good thing about music is its subjective, something you love could be someone elses nightmare. Yes we are hoping to have our releases on beatport, in the middle of sorting out a distributor just now. We understand that there's not an awful lot of money to be made in sales, and by developing a brand with our label, we will be putting on label parties, collaboration shows with other promoters and handling the bookings for artists we bring into the family. Our priority is to help everyone out, be it getting them gigs or promoting their music online. Hope that helps. Any more questions drop me a pm.

I agree with letha_pizzle and said something to that effect but deleted it. Most labels fail and the successful ones have a big artist behind them and a really tight vision/sound. Soliciting music in all genres from an internet forum is a quick path to failure. A label needs to have a sound and it's hard to do that if you just take everything.
Totally understand where you are coming from. It's not that we are just going to throw out anything in various different genre's without a sound focus. The reason i say we are looking for artists in all forms of electronic music, is because we have people involved in the label who have more expertise in say deep house than myself, whereas i'd have more in progressive house. I wouldn't dream of taking on an artist who produced music in a style we couldnt accomodate to our best.

thanks for your responses. I totally agree with what you are saying. We are hoping to develop a close-knit family type label. Not just a standard we will accept anyone sort of thing. We are primarly focusing on electro house, progressive house and dubstep. Heck, if anything else comes our way and we fully support it and the artist, it's all good with us. We aren't trying to throw out a bit of everything, just represent what we feel is good music and is something we feel we could help develop as an artist.
