Well thats good to hear. I don't really like the sample decks with traktor right now. Lets hope that they make them more functional and I hope the F1 lives up to the hype. Im just a bit reluctant about a contoller dedicated just for this function.

to your second comment. They are including an overlay with it and it will be able to control track decks as well.

I honestly don't find much use at all in a DJ set to ever use the sample decks. for a routine sure. But in actual like gigs and sets. One shotting samples just doesn't really appeal to me. I can't keep a whole sample set going, of what, 32 samples you can load, for an entire DJ set.

They really aren't meant to be compared.

Again, the F1 isn't better than the X1 if you want to control FX and standard deck functions. Its certainly better than the X1 at controlling the remix decks but it should be, thats its whole reason for being.

I keep reading that people will sell their X1s to buy an F1 and I bet a good percentage of these people will regret it and buy an X1 again to with the F1.

Dont get me wrong, I can see why people have this thinking. There was SO much expectation (not set my NI) that there was an X2 coming out that people have been a bit blind-sided by the F1 and they are trying to bend the F1 into an X2 and it simply isnt meant to be used like that.

I think the only people that should be considering selling their X1s are people that use them solely for the sample decks. If you use your X1 for more than that your gonna miss it if you sell it.

    Jus my thoughts.
In fact, i'm buying x1 only for sample deck, so I was thinking of the f1. I was only saying, that maybe, 32 sample for deck, for what I need, are too much. I'd map it to work with sample decks and maybe IG mapping.

I think the F1 is going to be an awesome Ableton launch pad! I'll probably buy it just to play with it anyways!

I don't see how you mean too much? It's not like you can use them simultaneously. I think it is wonderful, a total of 4 pages with 16 samples each of which 4 can be played simultaneously!

Look at it in this way: with the Remix Decks (and maybe the F1) you'd only need 1 Remix Set wherein al your samples are. This can not achieved with sample decks. So no need to search them in your library, but just trigger them on the fly.

Remix Decks are underrated. People don't know the full potential and like Karlos Santos said, everybody thought the F1 was going to be the next X1. But the F1 is just a powerful addition next to the X1. I don't see why they should replace the X1, because it can do everything for 2 decks, which they're aimed at.

    Sorry man, maybe you misunderstood.
English is not my language, I'm having big difficulties to explain myself right now ahah
I know what remix decks are made for, but, I usually use sample decks now for some simple samples, and I think I'm not going to need all those functionality, I know that they are cool, but I think remix deck isn't really for me.
I'm done with my few samples in only one deck, using deck c as track.
So, I like the LAYOUT of the F1, more than the X1, because with that I could be able to trigger my sample, with volume fader and because I'll have some spare buttons to use for instant effect.
I know, the BIG difference there is from x1 and f1
but hey, maybe, when I'll try remix deck I'll fall in love and go for it!!
