Post counts mean nothing as I have been a member longer than most on this thread.

Grammar, language and expression mean a lot and people need to be mindful of that as well when they post. You portray negativety, you will attract and receive negativety.

You never know who your audience will be online. And if you do not care, then the negativety people feel should not matter.

Also, it's spring going into summer. Busy season for those working in the industry :P

A lot of the old hats aren't posting as much anymore, and I'll admit I've been bad about it myself. Combination of a lot of things really, but sometimes you need to take a break from forums and focus on other things :P

Coming from someone with a relatively low post count as well but a strong lurker, I'd say I'd have to agree that there is definitely a shift going on in the general vibe of DJTT's forums. I feel I joined right before this shift truly began to show itself fully. Before it seemed there were a lot of well-written, legitimately-unique problems that people were asking. There were a few threads that popped up that were very similar to past ones, but it was always manageable. For the past month, I have not seen a single thread that has been worth me putting the time in to answer, and that is because I've seen 80 of them a day. I see a lot more people posting with next to no grammar:

"Wat speeker shud I by? Im luukin at dis bt cnt affrd it yt soooo rcmnd anthr?"

Or asking the same damn thing:

"I have a Numark Mixtrack, how do I hook it up to Traktor?"

Like previous posters have said, I'm hoping that the original equilibrium will even back out and people will start realizing that the level of maturity on DJTT's forums is a bit higher than forums elsewhere on the internet (in general, there's still a couple silly-gooses ) and that we can get back to the level of productivity that drew me into this site initially!

imho it´s always best to let the members handle the problems they have by their own (we´re not 12 anymore). i think a mod should only do his modbizniz when it comes down to insults and shit. just saying

Always find topics like this funny...people moaning about other people; welcome to the internet, enjoy your stay.

Instead of crying about people's behaviour, questions, grammer and the like....why don't you tell all your clever musical friends about this forum and let them flood the message board with interesting and convo-inspiring chats?

As the Midi Fighter's popularity grows, as will these boards - and you, or anyone else for that matter, has no control over who comes on here.

+1! There's hardly ever any interesting threads on here anymore. The blog started to become boring like a year or so ago, the community seems on the same track....

I also blame the simple fact that digital djing is now mass. It used to be pioneering. Moldover hacking his keyboard. Ean hacking the vci. Cool and edgy stuff.

The truth is its all kind of mainstream now. Nothing particularly to hack apart from the odd mapping. Companies are bringing out answers and the sad truth is most of the Dj offerings are good but essentially bland. I got an s2 and like it but there's no longer a great deal to discuss really.

I got no interest in sample decks. They are not the future if the best try can sound is like the tpro 2.5 shiftee and moldover ni vids (pretty dreadful and they are skilled pros)

I'm still reading this forum everyday but it's true that it's rare than anything new crops up anymore
