-Baker Beach for views of the Golden Gate
-Crissy Field for views of the Golden Gate / Windsurfers
-Palace of Fine Arts is cool to see and feed the ducks, and it's right by Crissy Field, you could pack a lunch and eat at crissy field or palace of fine arts if it's a nice day.
-Alamo Square for painted ladies / cool view of the city.
-North Beach (Little Italy) is cool. Get towards Washington Square park, have a latte or a glass of wine and watch the city walk by or people in the park.
-Dolores Park at night with a bottle of wine for a view of the city lights
-Ride a cable car maybe, I haven't done that yet.
-Check out Grace Cathedral if gothic churches are your thing.
-Find an art gallery or 2 to check out, there are hundreds
-And of course the super touristy stuff: The Wharf, Alcatraz, etc.
Though I've never been to Alcatraz. and China Town is sort of dirty and crowded, I don't see the attraction.
Let me know where you're staying and I can get more specific with stuff in your immediate area. Food / Bars etc. Also, if any of the above interest you I can tell you how to get there from where you're staying. And if shopping is your thing:
Rolo
Barney's
Gucci (ask for Ryne ;D)
Self Edge
etc.
