    Default Upgrade to traktor s2?

Hi, I have been using a numark mixtrack pro for a while now and I am considering a traktor s2.
What features does the s2 have that the mixtrack doesn't?
sorry if this is a bit of a stupid question but I am not really wanting to spend my money without
    it being worthwhile
I do also have a midi fighter.

    Any replies would be great

    Cheers

Search the forums and blog mate, there are already plenty of reviews on the S2. The S2 tutorial vids should show you pretty much what the unit is capable of.

    Hello James,

I too owned the Numark Mixtrack Pro before I decided to purchase the S2. All I have to say is that it is WELL worth the money.
With the S2 bundled with Traktor Pro 2 DJ software, it was a no brainer that this was a good buy.

The S2 is MUCH more sturdy and professional than the Mixtrack. Honestly, it makes the Mixtrack look and feel like a kids toy after using the S2 myself. The buttons are so quiet when you press them on the S2 than the obnoxious clicking you get when you hit a hotcue, play, sync, and effects button on the Mixtrack. The S2 also has a powerful Audio 6 soundcard built into it.

Now for the software, Traktor can be much more complex than you can make it. It was a pretty big jump from Virtual DJ to Traktor because of the new effects and complex wavelengths. I've edited my settings to where it looks and feels like Virtual DJ to get used to how the software operates at first. Just had it set up pretty minimal like Virtual DJ is set up. Now that I've gotten comfortable with it, I keep tweaking it to add more.

I've had both and have an s4 now. Build quality alone the s2 is better han the Mixtrack, buttons knobs faders and jogs all feel like pro gear and like its already been said makes the Mixtrack feel like a toy.
    Audio is better as well
