Keep practicing, record your mixes and listen back as often as you can, and dig deeper and develop more unique music collection that speaks to you. Plus take the time to make longer mixes and learn how to program a mix from start to finish.

I just started this december. all i can say is practice, practice.
Watch youtube videos, read about mixing techniques, listen to dj's transition from 1 song to another.
