Yeah....I dunno. It's really hard to compete with Live. With more people wanting the ability to bring the same setup they use to record/make music with them live, it seems impractical, especially in comparison to ableton.

I used to be a biiig proponent of reason until I got heavy into Ableton., but who knows. We'll see where Record takes things.
    Monika.mhz - I do things. Also stuff.

I dont have any experience with that mixing board but i am very much inclined to agree with minimalmintek here ! haha

Personally i was never much of a Reason fan but i can see the merrit of this program, it certainly has its little own niche in the market.

There are probably a few of you scratching their heads wondering why it doesnt have VST support. VSTS create more latency than propritory effects thats are built hosts. Especially when you are doing recording you want as little latency as possible, however you still want to be able to play with and apply effects as you play live as opposed to playing something in then applying effects with it afterwards. This is actually the same reason why Traktor will never have VST effects as using onboard effects your able to achieve much lower latencys(not to mention increased stability).

Dude, current projects I run with Ableton Live8 are rendered through a big ass SSL AWS900+ mixing console.

Still, even the operator of the SSL says, SSL is not the best for electronic music.

For Electronic music, if I had the opportunity, I would still go for a Digidesign Icon mixing console:
