In all seriousness I think you should probably talk to a therapist and work on some of these issues you've got. On this end of the screen you're coming off as someone stuggling with mental illness and if so I'm sorry for poking fun at your controller design. The delusions of grandeur, the persecution complex and the dickish attitude aren't healthy. Of course you could be totally sane and are just trolling for the lolz.

Back in the day it was all "rolling with the boys..."
Now it's all "trolling for the lolz"

i don't agree with most of what the OP says about controllers or his designs but he seems to be getting way too many harsh comments on this thread for what was just a blog post

The OP positions himself as some kind of industry insider, visionary, and/or equipment designer. He is none of the above. He's a former beta tester for Stanton. He once had an inside track to a career, but he's alienated himself by making outrageous claims. And now he seems to believe that everyone owes him something (including all of you).
If he'd put his money where his mouth is and registered some of these "unique" features with a lawyer he'd be a great Patent Troll ..... he was talking about "wanting" to work for DJ-tech at one point during his first "rant" :-S

    Bless

    Yeah, that's him.

Here's the problem. Steve has a lot of bluster, but what has he put out that is really patentable? With this controller he's showing right now, he's put 2 DJ Tech controllers in a box and made it big enough to lay something on top of (that something can be an iPad, other tablet, small notebook, or a keyboard). To borrow a quote from a friend of mine, he's invented desk space. It wouldn't be possible for him to get a utility patent or a design patent for what he's made.

i do like those djtech cdj101's (i own 4 of them now) but surely the whole point of them is being modular like the behringer PL-1's, not to hide them under a plank of wood...

@Buckner, I don't like to make a habit of flaming people on this forum, but I don't think I've ever seen you post anything that doesn't come across as ill-informed and frustrated anger venting against hardware companies; be it NI and Numark in this case or that thing with stanton a few months ago that turned into a massive clusterfuck.

Raging against the fact that hardware is made by corporations which are profit driven is just outdated and ultimately futile. We pay too much for everything because everyone in the supply chain has to make a profit, that's the nature of business.

I'm beginning to think you just enjoy shit stirring.
