Well certainly not close to what progressive house means in 2012 with all the aviciiesque stuff

But more classic prog house I guess is kind of close to some melodic techno like stuff you would find on Kompakt.

there is more than one type of techno... progressive could be mixed with some minimal in a set but they sound distinctly different. I think lance was referring to commercial prog house though. Shranz is a whole new beast that you wouldn't dream of mixing with prog.
