Ahh that does make a lot of sense.![]()
I disagree. Its up to DENON to:You and most others will love the "F" and "P".
Its up to you "the DJs" to get them into clubs, thats how Pioneer got there.
Prior to this, it was all Denon DJ Dual CD Players.
- Sponsor BIG events
- Give away club installations to superclubs
- Market and get endorsements for these units from the biggest goddam household-name DJ's on the planet.
- ENSURE that they are on theses DJ's Ryder and available in every city they tour in.
Its time to start making up for lost distance and not time to start playing the "its up to you the DJ's" card.
BTW they look gorgeous so long as the price is right
Denon Needs a Steve Jobs.

not sure why so many of you are bashing denon. these look fantastic!
I remember when I fist started I picked the dn-s1200s over pios 400s. not only did they have more features but they felt a whole lot better than the 400s, and they where cheaper.
the only big concern I have with these is that I doubt any of the engine hotcues or loops will transfer over to rekordbox. kind of a big deal if you have these at home then show up to a club with cdj 2000s

Thats very blunt, but also very true. One thing I must say though, if it so happens that their budget is only big enough for one or the other, I certainly appreciate and will buy from a company that choses to spend most of their budget on making a quality product and technical support over a company that rather spend it on aggressive marketing ........*cough* Native Instruments *cough*
Double post
Its a double edge sword unfortunately, clubs will keep buying Pio gear until such time as there is a reason not to, and as a result its what everyone who is actively playing in these clubs is more likely to buy - especially since we are in an age of not only CD player standard, but a software standard. We can do all this, but then we need to charge you twice the current asking price for the same product, just like Pioneer does.
Do you really think that's the way?
I honestly don't have an answer for this (I'm not steve jobs re-incarnate) but I just feel that beating the Pioneer monopoly will take a hell of a lot more than the goodwill of fans and word of mouth at this stage of the game.
I hope I'm wrong, genuinely I do.
All very well and good if you are the only person using them and bringing your gear to every gig, but if you are playing multiple venues with installation equipment and all your hot cues lined up in one piece of software, the last thing you'll want to see is a different deck when you land at a gig.I certainly appreciate and will buy from a company that choses to spend most of their budget on making a quality product and technical support over a company that rather spend it on aggressive marketing

Here in Belgium, in every club or disco, on every gig, giant party, even a party organised by students, there are Pioneers. I and many other's from Belgium will choose for the Pio's. This is just because the local dj's (like me), need to learn to work with the pioneers. When we choose Denon's, it's impossible for us to play on the party's.
I would like to have Pioneer's to learn. But for creativitie and price-quality we wan't all Denon's. Pio's are now the standard in the Dance Music. Give just some local club's, student organisation's, great producers/dj's a nice Denon-setup and they will give you endless advertisements. After you get your standard back, you will make progression!
Pio's are good, but it's time for revolution! They are already 3 years unchanged from design or new functions. So Denon, just make sure something will change here in Belgium![]()
Thanks for your good comments, VincentCools !
