Im sorry but Deadmau5 original penthouse was worth at least half of his net then he bought the next one right beside it so i really think hes more in the steve aoki fatboy slim age. Also i heard recently that when DJ's jsut started coming to vegas people like tiesto and oakenfold made like $10 million on residencies (dont quote me on that). Now unless Pete Tong Produces his radio one shows or owns them how the fuck is he worth a whopping 30? Daft Punk yeah, but Pete Tong? Judge Jules $40 million? your kidding me right?>

Pete Tong has been doing his thing for a loooooong time...Like the Dick Clark of Dance Music...I wonder if the whole "essential" brand is his?...hmmm...

I know he was A&R for some record labels....so i am sure he produced some records also...

And the fact that you've been at the forefront of dance music for over 25 years might help a bit. Pete Tong would have forgotten more about electronic music than Avicii, Ass2mau5 and Afrojack combined. At some point knowledge and experience is far more valuable than being part of recent fads.

I think he has alot of investment in Ibiza and the Pacha brand as well.

Tong has big stakes in clubs/branding as well I'd imagine. Plus those Ibiza residencies would be worth a pretty penny, add that to the fact he's been the most recognised voice in dance music for the last 15+ years, I'm sure his deal with the BBC would be worth shitloads.

Deadmau5 is new compared to some of these guys, sure he'll be worth lots if he keeps this up, but most of those names in the top 10 are older and incredibly well established DJs/Brands.

Its career earnings too I believe, so guys like Sasha etc. have had 20 years to make that cash.

yeah true. hence why Judge Jules is still up there I guess. £100000 for a 2hr set, multiple times a week for a few years. Flabbergasting really considering he was such a shite DJ..
