well, if you've never had classical or jazz blow your mind then i feel a bit sorry for you, and just because you don't like it doesn't make it terrible. there can tend to be many complex ideas and methods of delivery in those genres that a lot of people don't understand (myself included), so it makes sense that most people don't like it. it can be difficult music to listen to for the average person. these genres are basically the seeds of music as we know it. blues came directly from jazz and film scores are almost entirely classical based.

i don't like a lot of what's in those genres (or most other genres for that matter) but they hold many great songs that are simply amazing and helped me to gain a greater appreciation of music as a whole. i also do like blues and film scores and music that i don't even know how to begin to put a genre based label on, but if i typed them all out with sub-genres i may be here for a while...

I'm more than serious... I'm HIV Positive.

Jazz is for musicians, you have to understand it to appreciate it as it's very experimental, but the reason I don't like it is it has no emotion it's just musicians music. Blues on the other hand is music by people for people kind of like dance music and rock pre 2000.

Classical is mostly happy horse shit waltz music for the privileged 200 - 300 years ago, again lacking in any emotion accept for the the dark stuff but it's rare, I'm sure more would have been created back then but wouldn't have filtered down through history. Movie score's are amazing! really capturing the depth of human emotion and imagination.

Maybe I'm just too cynical and haven't been exposed to good deep classical...

Sir Edward Elgar, for me, probably a bit obvious but he created some very stirring and moving pieces IMHO.

We know 1 thing about paris hilton. She loves Attention!!! From the sex tape to this.

We should just ignore her and stop making threads about this chick, she obviously gets some type of excitement from it.

It would be weird to be dj'ing and then the only visuals on the screen is paris hilton.. Is she obsessed with her looks?
