I want to pickup a MBP for ableton, what do you guys think of this deal I found on my local craigslist:

2011 Macbook Pro 15.4"
Tech Specs:
2.0gHz Core i7 Processor
500 GB HD
4 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6490M graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR5 memory on 2.0GHz configuration;

Ports:
SD Card Slot
2 USB
Firewire 800
Gigabit Ethernet
Thunderbolt port

Looks like its in good shape from the photos, comes with a hard case and latest update of mountain lion. They are asking $1150CND, no box tho. I can still buy apple care until october, what do you guys think? Grab this or wait for another deal?

If it's in great/good condition I'd say it's an okay deal.

Is it a late 2011 or early 2011 model ?

They've stated that its an early 2011 model, and that they have had a hard shell installed since they purchased it back in october of last year. I was thinking of picking it up and upgrading to 16gb of ram right away...

Ask if its still covered by applecare, if it is, then its a damn good deal, if not watch out, some of the parts could be on the way out, mines is a early 2011 model and my CD drive has died altogether, and im not covered by applecare (long story)
