I generally don't like the Mau5, but that was a great interview, and he really made a lot of great points regarding the context within which many of his comments are made versus the way that they are interpreted or blown way out of proportion. All in all, interesting. Maybe I'll put a song or two of his back in the rotation...

I sort of have to disagree. He is an extremely mediocre DJ. If you listen to him and clear your mind of the tv persona that he is, you realize he is every average medium sized city DJ at a top 40 bar. To me, I never saw the point in bashing guys like that. There are and always have been those average "townie" DJ's. When it comes to him, he was a DJ before any of that Jersey Shore stuff. How can you fault a guy for capitalizing on fame? I guess if I didn't find it so hypocritical, I'd have no problem with bashing him. At the end of the day though, I know every single person who talks down on the guy would do the same thing in his position.

Really enjoyed that interview. I think i'm one of those few people that actually don't mind him when he's a c*nt. Very opinionated and i like that. But the interview i think he answered everything well. He seemed to sit back and just say the honest truth unlike some ego controlled DJ's that are around.

Yeah, i guess you are right. Lets not play the popularity game and give him his dues for doing what he can to get where he can.

Reading that again, it was a bad analogy. I blame the red wine...and PaulyD's hair. heheheheh

But yes, I agree with you. I take it back.

Yep, specially when he made the point about fucked kids and seeing them being taken away while he is playing.

That would put me off too, to be honest. What strikes me....is that he stands for his beliefs.
    Solidly too!

He's never been a dick, He is just someone who hasn't been shy to speak his mind.

Definitely, i was pretty taken back when he started speaking about the people getting out their faces at gigs etc. Also i think quite a few people would have crumbled when the whole Madge think kicked off simply because it's.. Madge. But he stuck by his guns.

Someone who speaks their mind to me is usually a twat/dick. But that's just my opinion.. I class myself as one of those people because i always express my honest thoughts and opinions. But i'd definitely rather hang around with honest people who speak their mind than people who are false haha! But overall he seems quite a cool guy. A load of respect for him.

It was quite cool how he admitted he sold out to dubstep just because it was popular. Don't think much other people would have done that.
