I hope everyone on the east coast is ok. Be careful , I'm still at work but they might let us go home around noon. Don't underestimate this weather.

Well guys I'm not sure if many of you know that I work on a cruise ship, but some of you do. Anyway we got stuck in Sandy after leaving Boston down to Ft. Lauderdale 4 days ago. It hit us pretty hard even though we diverted to avoid the epicenter. For the last 4 days we've been bombarded with 30ft+ waves, hectic winds and huge swells.

We had over 40 passengers get off in Boston after hearing news that were heading straight for it, good decision on their part. I's been a really tough and hectic 4 days, especially trying to work in these conditions. Things were falling and breaking everywhere even though we tried securing the equipment, glassware, and china. I'm pretty lucky that I don't get sea sick, but a lot of others weren't so lucky. It's still pretty rough outside, but they say that tomorrow the weather should start improving as we move further away from Sandy.

I have to say that these have not been the most pleasant days of my life!
