Yes, I would agree with those above in saying that if you have the money to spend, I would go with a high level all in one, which will keep you for years as opposed to a cheap controller you will have to waste time re-selling and re-buying once you get better in a month. The DDJ-SX is quite literally everything you'll ever need, and it has a lot of re-sell value even in a year because it's new now. The MTP is years old now, not as much re-sell value should you not like it or want something better.

It's so hard to answer questions like this if you don't give us a pricerange, but I would suggest the DN MC-3000, it's around 450$ I think, and the building quality is the best you get for those kind of money, the only con is that you have to buy traktor pro to acces all features, you only get traktor LE/VDJ LE depending on where you live.

You won't make much progress in a month - you CERTAINLY won't out grow your first controller in a month. Buy WHATEVER controller you can afford. It really doesn't matter how good or bad your first controller is. What matters is the amount of effort you put into learning.

You won't learn faster on premium gear, than you would on budget gear.
