we have similar mats for technicians at my work and from my limited experience (8 hrs of standing at a bench assembling desktop pcs with a few breaks) they feel quite nice with no shoes on, with shoes on however I don't think they make much difference. Perhaps if they were doubled up as someone mentioned but really maybe some new shoes are in order
