Lightbulb Got a mini budget for music production, any tips on good & budget vsts/plugins?

Hi. I have a budget on 230 dollars. I'm thinking of buying "z3ta+ 2" and native instruments "elements komplete". As far as I have seen, these give me a HUGE opportunity to develop my own sound (z3ta & native's synths), to try alot of different sounds and plenty of audio effects to play with.

I'm using ableton 8 intro. I have started to produce tracks that is a mix of drum and bass and a bit of dark "rave" combined with bass music.

    My question is:
Do you got any tips on vsts/plugins/presetbanks that fit me? I've looked around the internet VERY much hours. But if you got any recommendation, please tell me !

    Why now?
= I have ableton intro and I want more. I have synth1 as my main synth atm. I use ableton's audio effects and got some free vsts/plugin but I want some real quality vsts/synths.

    thanks.

Z3ta ia a great synth, but if my budget was only $230 I think I would spend that some other way. Do you have a soundcard? Monitors (or at least decent headphones)?

You can get everything you need to make music for FREE. There are free versions of everything - synths, samplers, DAWs, FX (compressors/reverb, etc...)

Have you seen KVR? LOADS of free VST's (effects and instruments). Paying for Massive, etc, won't allow you to learn any quicker.
    DJ'ing: 2x1200MK2, DJM 850, Dicers, F1, Zomo MC-1000, Sony MDR-v700, i7 Win 10 HP Envy
Production: Ableton Live 8 and a mouse, Sennheiser HD400, Sony VAIO

Yea I've seen KVR and I have a full folder of free audio effects from them. They're really good.

But, some of the free things, some of them are gold, some of them is meh. Currently I'm using synth1 and it's a great synth for being FREE, but does it got the quality as etc z3ta, omnisphere, massive, sylenth1?

I've tried many free synths/instruments, they're good but the quality of the banks/sound is not enought for me.
Because, most of the time, the stuff you buy, is better than the free stuff. It got more quality, more banks/presets, more tutorials etc.
But there is also free things that are gold. If you got any, please tell me, or if you got any other things that is essential when creating music please tell me too.

Check all of the stuff TAL hast got under the link. I recommend the NoiseMaker in particular, a great synth, there are also some quality tutorials on it on Youtube. Don't forget to download the effects as well, I use them all the time.

I can recommend Massive as well, it's one of my all-time favourites, but if you're on a budget try the NoiseMaker first, maybe it's got everything that you need. Also you can get a Massive-style Dimension Expander effect for free via Xfer: http://www.xferrecords.com/freeware/. If you need more sources, just search or ask again

Save up for Ableton Suite and stay away from presets. Instead of spending a lot of time on searching the web for presets, use that time to learn the tools you have and make your own sounds.
Presets are good for 3 things... to see the potential of the device... to flesh things out (when u need a sound but dont want to cut the creative flow with sound design) and most important, to lure naive customers into thinking its gonna make them sound better/more professional.
