I think it's better for mixing down a track. Plus, no moving parts, less to break.

If they were offering x-y control then I would be all over it.

But I guess you could say I haven't really tried any touch products yet. I just enjoy the feel of a nice filter knob.

Oh yeah, totally. Just if you're controlling more then 8 software faders knobs and faders are a pain in the ass.

the DDJ SX is big but light witch makes it (kinda) portable while NS7 II is heavy and not something I would like to carry around.
There are quite a few (open format) Top-40 DJs in my area that already use the NS7, so I imagine that they'll be all over this update.
80lbs for the NS7 (in a case w' wheels) is still lighter than (2) Techs & a DJM-800/900 in individual cases...or all in a coffin.

Say what you will about the NS7 MKII's weight, but that "controller" screams quality.
    A&H Xone:96, (2) X Pioneer CDJ-2000nxs2, Bozure ISO-201, (2) X Technics MK5, "TEIL1" (Delay Pedal), Strymon "Blue Sky" (Reverb Pedal), Ableton Push 2, A&H Xone:K2, (2) X Shure M44-7 w' Ortofon SH-4 Headshells, V-Moda Crossfade LP2, Crates & Crates of Vinyl, 2011 & 2012 Macbook Pros - (2) X SSD/16GB RAM for both machines |

Im 100% behind you on this. I was watching demos on the old one and its litterally technics in a controller! The new one that is being released at namm looks amazing and I think it might be my next purchase. Get that with a midi fighter spectra!

I really think Livid have out done themselves here

And an in-browser editor. Does that mean no crappy config hardware is required? Hooray!
IMO that thing would be a beast for Traktor! The way I look at it its either 3/4 of a X1 (per half), or 2 F1's put together, with touch strips and velocity pads... on one bank...

Agreed - I had gone off all-in-one controllers but the Pio DDJ SX & now the new NS7 are very tempting - love the look of the new NS7 especially ....
