Too bad the "little guy" doesn't have EQ. It would be a good addition to my S2 for decks C/D. Why leave the EQ off?

    Space I'd imagine.

So nem0nic, do we ever find out what it is that makes the DC-1 exciting?

Well yea I guess. I think making a few inches wider and adding 2 rows of knobs wouldn't compromise the size that much. Then you gain actual functionality, who the hell is going to mix with this thing without having EQ?

I'd say it's designed to be used just for fun Although It can be re-mapped as jog FX support unit.

The little micro Behringer CMD is basically a Numark DJ2Go, which doesn't have EQ either, so no real difference in terms of features. I highly doubt ANYONE would use it in a "proper" setting, and therefore the lack of EQ doesn't really matter. You could, theoretically, assign 1 and 2 on each side as bass/mid kills, which would do the job well enough for most people; or use them as well as the sync buttons as modifiers in addition to the center rotary encoder to control the EQ.

Its a bit fuckin weird man.
I (originally)politely pointed out a big problem in his design, and he made it out like I was an asshole who didn't know what I was talking about, while simultaneously agreeing that everything I'd said was accurate. All so that he wouldn't look like he'd made a mistake. All instead of just making the responsible PR move and acknowledging it as something they'd take into account in the future.

Now I feel obligated to point out all of his failures.

however discussing that fact at a meta-level isnt helpful at all. So back to real discussion.
