look at the videos from NI or check out the vids of the twitch/vci380/ddjsx slicer mode

imagine having that on F1/Maschine or the supadupa new Kontrol S4mk2

I played with it a bit in the app. Man reallllllly awesome. I really like it, before I doing cue point juggling never really made much sense to me, but this is a really nice way to do it on the fly. Really need this in actual traktor!

You already can, it's called "sample and slice." You can even build patterns from sequences of up to 128 inputted samples, and save them! Or have people already forgot what a Maschine is?

if they can figure out a way to get the freeze/slicer working on some nice pads then its close to game set and match NI

serato still has flexible beat grids for nonquant music and better jog wheel support, but losing ground fast
What exactly do you mean by better jog wheel support? If you mean the timecode then this is incorrect traktor's MKII timecode is 2x more accurate than serato's. Unless serato released something new recently

am referring to the static platters on the vci 300/380/ddjsx etc being nicer to use for scratching relating bizniss than those on the s4/s2, also a vastly wider selection of natively supported jogs with the new SDJ roll out of controller support

not debating the accuracy of the time code, I saw the qbert vid, seem that NI time code is indeed better
