Default DDJ-SX - Native Instruments answer?

After being slow off the mark in the controller market, Pioneer seems to now be flexing its muscles. The DDJ-SX is up there with the standard of quality you would expect from Pioneer. If this is Pioneer starting to get serious about the controller market, what does it mean for the competition?

Native Instruments offerings now look a bit cheap and "plasticy" compared to the DDJ-SX. I prefer Traktor over Serrato so its a bit annoying that the DDJ-SX has been made native to Serrato.

Are there any plans from Pioneer to bring out a Traktor version (as they did with the DDJ S1?) Surely Native Instruments have to come back with an answer to this, the S4 just doesn't compare in terms of quality.

Yeah, I saw that mapping. It looks interesting although any mappings done for Traktor are always going to be a compromise.

I'm told that a Traktor version of the DDJ-SX isn't on the cards.

Probably something to do with the fact that Native doesn't really want people to buy stuff other than their own now everyone is hooked on Traktor. Pretty smart business concept though!
