Vestaxes feel very different from the mixers that are popular now (Pioneer, Denon, A&H). I think they feel pretty good.
They tend to be a little less forgiving (distortion sounds worse) and expect the DJ to actually know how to run levels correctly. I don't remember listening to the effects.
At the time, I decided it was "too much" mixer for me in the wrong ways…never been that into effects, so I bought something that was cheaper and didn't have a bunch of stuff I wouldn't use anyway.
