Too bad there ain't many dancefloors these days. To a nightclub that wants to bank, a dancefloor is wasted space that could be filled with $5000 VIP tables.

I think partly the problem with the recent explosion of dance music in the US is that is hasn't come from the underground - unlike in the UK, Europe and elsewhere around in the world as a movement occuring in the late 80's/early 90's - it's come from mainstream pop music, therefore the only exposure these new fans have had are these big, well polished sound and light shows or clubs with tables that think it's 'cool' to be dropping 'EDM'....
