You connect mixtrack to laptop, and mixtrack to speakers, and yes if you have the full version of Traktor Pro you will be able to use all the effects, but please be aware that piracy is frowned upon on these boards.

Check out the Behringer CMD 4A. It's not out yet but would probably be perfect for starting out. And it's exactly in your price range, $199 buddy. Played with it at NAMM for an hour or two. Pretty fuckin dope

But yea, get a used mixtrack to tide you over and get you into the art. If you like it, you could eaisly resell for little to no loss and pick up the Behringer.
