Thanks dude
The red box is a software thing and I believe you can make an Ableton script to get one with any controller. Whether the included script will have one or not I don't know.
I wouldn't be surprised if we got shafted on the price![]()

I'm sure that if it doesn't come with the script someone will make one![]()

Nice to see this up! I really enjoyed it, you should definitely do it more! One thing I noticed too is that button print comes off if you scratch it... Don't know if that's offshore models thingybut I don't really mind that. However, I haven't noticed body parts come off as you point it in video.
Thanks Stewe, wasn't sure if people would be interested or not so it's good to get positive feedback
It was just on the LC-1 but it's started to happen on the PL-1 as well. My room gets pretty warm when it's sunny and pretty cold when it's not so maybe that contributed to the situation. Either way it's certainly an issue with my ones, though only a cosmetic one.

That was a problem with the first run of pre-production models. So was the faceplate flex. Those should not be problems with the production units. One thing I noticed too is that button print comes off if you scratch it...
Fantastic review, sir. With all the camera talk I was expecting funky-cam, but you did fine. Good stuff.
Can you have the encoder LEDs accumulate rather than only have the one small light that travels around?
There is a generic redbox script for ableton 8, it can be easily be ported to any controller. It needs to be updated for 9 but you can also edit any of the open source ones (ie: QuNeo's or CNTRL) if you are in need of 9's redbox today, they are well commented so it's a pretty easy task to do.
