I bought OS X 10.8 because NI recommended it. I upgraded to Traktor 2.6.1. I placed my laptop in such a way that I had more airflow.

The problem still isn't solved. None of these things helped.

When the crackling/glitching of the audio occurred the CPU usage was around 25%, maybe even less.
Most of my laptop temperatures were around 20-30°C except for CPU A that was at 62°C.
But maybe that isn't that hot at all because my fans weren't spinning that fast at all, under 2000 rpm for sure.

What the hell do I do?

I replied to my NI support ticket, do they get my e-mail this way ? I think so because it was sent to ni-support@native-instruments.com, but I'm not entirely sure.

Dunno if this helps, but I put my TTs on a separate power strip and disabled 'multi-core processor support'. This seems to help.

NI had me run traktor until the problem occurred again and I was told to run the NI support tool they supported, it analyzed the software and provided a .zip file that I had to e-mail back to NI.

    Currently awaiting results.

Update from me... NI asked me to run the dignosis software as well. I'm still getting the issue. I've tried new needles, new timecode, a different soundcard (Audio 4 instead of my Audio 8). We both have the same OS and the same laptop here.

No, the exhaust is at the back, where the hinge is.

It's not a heat issue here. Even with the temperature around 50C, I still have the issue.

Sometimes my temperatures are hovering comfortably around 35°C when I get the issue.

So definitely not a heat related problem.

I had a similar problem with timecode going all over the place a few weeks ago - only on one deck. Turned out the red RCA on the 1210 had an intermittent fault internally. One new cable installed and I've had no problems since.

My 1210s already got a complete check up/cleaning/calibration/replacement of cables. I thought it would solve the issue but it didn't.

Same here. Both were sourced from different places and one even has upgraded cables.

I've done a video of what happens in TSP.
