    HAHA love it!!

You could be on to something here. I would pay to see this whilst listening to some filthy techno!! Manumission in Ibiza used to do similar things on stage in the early 2000's.

Cheesy rubbish has been in dance music since the beginning.

This guy Wolfgang Gartner needs to look back.

In the early 90's you had 2 unlimited (aka 2 untalented) doing cheesy poppy techno style tracks in the charts

Around 1994 you had all that horrible cheesy trance/progressive come in, which was promoted by the likes of Judge Jules. Horrible, horrible cheesy formula breakdowns and huge silly build ups after the drops, which continues to this day!! The crowds became younger and they loved it. Many of the great Dj's sold out and played commercial cheese/trance/euro rubbish.

    What's new??

It's always happened. Ignore the shit and take what you like.

Trance was probably a bit later than 1994. Especially the Judge Jules, superstar DJ, Gatecrasher et al, time of trance. I agree though, fucking cringeworthy.

The difference was - back then, that cheesy crap stayed OUT of the clubs/raves. That was because the punters were intelligent fans. They KNEW what they liked. No-one was there because it was the current "big thing".

This is what happens when a minority scene becomes mainstream.
