Most likely yes, but whenever you're dealing with data transfer, there's no guarantee.
Why would you need a sound card? iOS devices already have two stereo DACs (probably of higher quality than standard issue NI outs too), all you need is software that can output in PF split mono or dual stereo, of which TDJ is one of the only applications that CAN'T do IIRC; because, you know, NI just loves locking in its hardware, regardless of how sensible it is.
iono what you goin on about.
what are the specs of the DAC output on each iOS device?
- Equipment - 2X Technics 1200, 2X Audio Technica ATLP1240, 2X XDJ700, 2X XDJ1000 MK2, Denon DNX-1100, Mixars DUO, DJM750 MK2, NI Audio 10, NI Aduio 4, Serato SL3, 4X Shure M44-7, 2X Ortofon Pro S, 2X Numark Groove Tool, Maschine MK3, Samson Carbon 49, Roland SE-02, Novation Launchcontrol, TouchOSC, Nocation Peak, Arturia MiniBrute, Korg Volca Kick, MicroKorg (Classic), NI Komplete Audio 6
Where are the 2 DACs in iOS devices? Headphone and..?
TDJ does support dual stereo with 3rd party class compliant sound cards AFAIK?

The 30-pin connector has an analogue audio channel, which is how Line-Out Docks work.
If TDJ already supports dual stereo, why would a first-party device use internal mixing and cost a bundle? That'd be like releasing a timecode oriented hardware mixer that defaults to mixing internally... Wait....
The Z1 is the only device that can control the internal TDJ mixer. You can use any? class compliant sound card for dual stereo output for external mixing.
Is there a simple 30-pin to RCA adapter that allows you to make use of the 2nd DAC?
Edit: there seem to be plenty of these. But that means the whole connector is taken up.
2nd edit: Would TDJ allow stereo output with one of these cables? Or does it only have access to the headphone output?

It routes analogue audio from your single on board DAC, so it's the same audio channel as your headphones (but at line level).
The new lightning to 30pin connectors seem to have a DAC in them though (as lightning has no analogue out, it's the only way to be able to use old docks etc with new iPads). As to whether they can be used independently from the headphone output though, I have no idea.
