Well, if you were able to activate it through NI's Service Center with the serial number and it works properly, it's legit. It's really odd that you would find an unactivated version of Traktor Scratch Pro at a Pawn Shop, since that would mean someone purchased it, never used it, then pawned it.
Traktor Scratch Pro is just Traktor Pro with the timecode features unlocked. So, it will work just like regular Traktor for you, as you will be using your controller with it (I assume). It wouldn't have made sense for you to spend extra money on the Scratch version for your purposes, but the extra unused functionality won't hurt you considering you found it at a pawn shop. Just be aware that you won't be able to used timecode vinyl/CDJs with it without an NI Traktor Scratch certified mixer.
I still think it's really weird that you just found an unused version of the software anywhere but the internet or a specialty shop.
