To the original OP. If you want to try Serato and have a Z2, you might want to do what I did. I also have two turntables plugged into my Z2. I also have two Numark V7's plugged into the line inputs of the Z2. The V7's are running Serato Itch right now, but the free upgrade to SDJ is coming. So I can run Traktor on the turntables, or run Serato Itch on the V7's, not at the same time, but I can run either program without having to unplug anything except for the USB cables. If you look around, you can buy a couple of used V7's for the price of a Serato sound card.
Good Idea Still expensive but i understand why u did it the whole purpose of this thread was to ask people is they through searto was over price and to try to figure out why but people are stupid and got carried away talking about libraries so i see now just keep my thoughts to myseft
My advice to you since you are just getting started, is to stick to one program and master it, especially if you are just a bedroom DJ. Switching to Serato is not going to make you any better, it's just different. Only reason I have both, is because I have been at this game for over 30 years and have accumulated a lot of gear. I already had the 1200's and the V7's, so it was a no brainer to plug them into the Z2. One thing you might want to get if you don't have them already is get an X1mk2 and an F1. You can always get a used Serato box later and try out Serato. DJ's are always selling their gear and a good used one will pop up sooner or later.
