    Ok. Thanks for that one. I give a thought than - I like 4 faders a lot, but what you describe sounds pretty much like coming disaster. There is offer for TR1 for only 40 bugs more...but its heavier - bigger and needs more mapping to do all 4 channels properly/integrate with Touch OSC.

    @emptyx
    Lol i actually have a Vestax TR1, one of the best bits of kit i ever bought and it only cost me(used) the same as one of Behringers modules, there is just no comparison between the two, the TR1 will still be going long after i have departed this world its a solid bit of kit. If Behringer made a TR1 something or other i am not familiar with it and cant compare, sorry. All i am saying is having bought four of the modules, is the quality(in my opinion) is no better than previous Behringer products and im not just talking about the silk-screening coming off, im talking about actual cutting out when performing because of a dodgy USB socket. If that gives you confidence then i am surprised. I have no axe to grind here, i am just telling you as it was for me,I wanted it to be better than Behringers previous gear, FFS i spent £400 on it all, thats a large commitment for me, and i hope you are not disappointed when you get yours because it seems to me you are already sold on the idea just like i was.
    good luck

    Although i had no problems with the midi side of things i would still have preferred an editor even if it was just to change the midi channel.
    It's unfortunate that this part of the CMD line never materialized. The CMD controllers were supposed to have a java based interface that communicated via simple MIDI for device configuration. This would allow the CMD controllers to be configured with any computing device. We would have had a website that users could use to make simple changes (like MIDI channel), as well as firmware version checks and updates. Everything needed to make this happen on the hardware side is already implemented in the CMD controllers, but I don't think Behringer will ever develop the software end of the line.

    I find midi-ox impossible to use but to be fair its an old program which was'nt really meant to be used that way.
    MIDIOX was designed to be used EXACTLY in that way. That is what it is now and has always been.

    ... im talking about actual cutting out when performing because of a dodgy USB socket. If that gives you confidence then i am surprised.
    I'm going to bet that this is more down to a dodgy USB cable, but even if I take what you said at face value, you have a 3 year warranty for the CMD controllers. If you don't take advantage of it, that your bad.

    Also, the Vestax TR-1 is a great bit of gear, no doubt. But you're comparing a nearly $300 MAP product with a $130 MAP product. If it isn't better at double the price, then there is something VERY wrong.

    Also, the TR-1 is an "everything" controller. What if you only want a mixer? What if you want a 4 channel mixer? The point of the MM-1 was to target a single specific workflow. If that is what you're looking for, then a TR-1 is a poor substitute for an MM-1.

    Err i never bought up the subject of the TR1 emptyx did. Midi OX i do find a very difficult program to use not at all user friendly and it has been around forever and you are obviously better informed than me as to it original purpose. And do you think i would make a statement about the USB socket being dodgy without testing it with other cables, USB cables are notorious for giving problems so of course i would suspect the cable first. And who said i wasn't going to take advantage of the warranty. But i still say i shouldn't have to, a warranty isnt an excuse for poor quality control which has always been Behringers problem. And i dont want to know about a feature that wasn't implemented because Behringer lost interest. All i know is much was promised and after a long wait i ended up disappointed nothing can change that. The idea was good(still is) and the price wasn't bad either, pity the job didnt come up to scratch. Maybe i was a little bit unrealistic in my expectations but live and learn. I repeat what i said over ten years ago, Behringer,"No Thank you" never again.

    Err I think you need to assume that any response that I make in this thread is meant for more than just you, otherwise I would have sent you a PM instead of posting publicly.

    As for your opinion, you're certainly entitled to it.

    Hi, I did not read your message when I was writing - it was passing each other. Well, what you describe is turn down - I will not buy than. I heard good news on inet and yes, got sold on idea. It has perfect size and weight for me considering 4 channels. But if its stop working after 3-4 month of use, than is no go. 3 years warranty is nice, but I wanna spent time better than discussing with service.

    I brought up subject, cause I get get new TR1 for 149 Eur, which is 40 more than Behringer. I had VCI 100 SE - done myself and I rehgret selling it. However Vestax is great, I look for 4 channel modular small thingy which is sturdy, but light enough to keep traveling with it. Behringer looked like good idea - bu quality first.

    Hey guys I haven't been on here in awhile but I'm checkin in to see if anyone has made any custom Traktor maps for the Studio 4a. I'm very happy with my VDJ map that I made but every once in awhile I like to give Traktor a shot. So please if you have a custom Traktor map and don't mind sharing them, I'd love to give it a spin.

    Thanks for any help,
    KingCast
