They don't have it in stock, nor does Sweet Water.. Musicians Friend says that "International Shipping" not available for this. I'm so pissed!

Nahhh don't sell it dude. You signed up for the warranty right? The paint scratched off of mine too but like you said its only cosmetic. nemonic told me i could send it in and they would replace it no problem. I'm going to send mine in this week. I think the first batch of CMD 4A's all have this issue. I think for the price, its an excellent controller. Take my words for what its worth but the CMD4A got me started on a great path. I started with a borrowed numark mix track, upgraded to the cmd 4a, booked a buncha shows out in LA, and now i own CDJ's and spin at House of Blues sunset strip and other bars and clubs in the hollywood area. I would say, suck it up and just send it in, get a new one in which the paint won't rub off and keep going. it's an awesome affordable controller. not trying to be a behringer fan boy or anything but just wanted to give my two cents. If you honestly don't like the controller I would say at the very least send it in, get a new one, and then sell it and get most of your money back. Hope it all works out for you buddy

I exchanged it for another Studio 4a. This is the 2nd one in the picture. After 5 months of use the paint suddenly started coming off after lightly cleaning the surface with a DRY non abrasive microfiber cloth meant for dusting LCD screens and such. I use them to DRY wipe all my gear with absolutely no issues. Even though this is only cosmetic and doesn't affect the unit from being functional I am very disappointed to have not one but two of the units have flaws in the build. I have lost faith in anything Behringer now. I now plan on selling mine off at a huge discount and putting whatever $$$ amount towards another controller that has the build quality this lacks. This could be a great controller if they were built with better quality jog wheels or permanent paint

That's a pretty common issue with the first run of CMD controllers. I have no idea how they're handing the issue internally now, I've been gone since November. But it should be processed as a warranty item.

I contacted Music Group about this paint issue and tried to use my warranty for a new unit. This is the reply I got back from them "The issue you are experiencing is a wear and tear issue and does not affect the function of your unit. It is not a manufacture defect, therefore, we cannot service your unit under warranty. We apologize for any inconveniences you may be experiencing." WTF? It is evident that they have replaced other units because of the same issue so why not mine? I even based my claim on section 4.3 of their warranty that states Where applicable, MUSIC Group warrants the following items contained in or with the product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase . I am so angry and this is evidence the warranty is useless if they wont honor it. I am never purchasing anathoer product from this company ever again. Infact I have other Behringer stuff in my studio Im am now getting rid of. I no longer support antything by them.

Don't worry I will be getting a new unit from them. If I have to I will continue to keep doing warranty claims until they comply. Doesn't matter now if I have do it 1000 times they aren't getting away with this now. I am not letting this company get away with this period.
