    Default Red Kartel's Setup

    Hi everyone!

I've been lurking around since months and now its time to share with you guys!
Here is my Djing/Production setup, I play Deep Dubstep, Liquid DnB, Neurofunk, Reggae, Dancehall and some other styles. My production mainly focus on deep dubstep.

    Djing:

    2x Reloop RP7000
    NI Kontrol X1 & F1
    NI Audio 6
    Behringer DJX900USB
    Rewired AKG K518Dj

    Production:

I mostly use Ableton Live 9 and my Akai mpk mini
The audio 6 and Samson Rubicon R8a + R10s give a ridiculous good sound for the price of the gear!

Dj desk is a DIY with parts taken from Leroy Merlin (France)
    PICT0178.jpg
Architec table feet with tunable height (no more back pain!)
Solid wood desk plate (no vibration conduction from the sub), drawer for keyboard & mice at standard height
And a "footed shelf" to elevate the monitors and my laptop for djing session

I'll try to swap my DJX900 for a DJM 750K, and complete my production setup with an ableton push and maybe one day start doing lives!

    Cheers, Red.

That desk looks very nice. Is it sturdy enough to snad up to vigourous scratching?

Very good tables, almost feel like technics, the arm is a bit different but no skiping, I miss the slowdown of the technics when powering off the motor and it would be good to have 2 knobs for start/brake durations instead of one, but thats details to be honest. It worth its money!

Thanks! The desk plate weight 17kg and with the whole gear it goes up to a 70ish kg, enough to make it solid on vigourous scratching. (Feet can handle 120kg of charge)
Its a very good desk, all this solid wood for less than 120€ and very simple to achieve (max 20ish screws and few cuts). For small rooms the djing/producing switch is what I prefer the most. If people want a detailed DIY guide I'll be happy to write it, feel free to ask!
