Default Help me choose between these DJ headphones:

I am stuck between these three headphones which i will use soley for DJing:

    Pioneer HDJ500
    Sennheiser 25
    Technics RP DH1200

I love the look of the Pioneers, but i heard that they break quite easy, whilst the Technics also look great and have great reviews along with the Sennheiser. At the moment, i would say the Technics because they have great reviews and also look great. Thoughts? Cheers : )

I would say Hd 25's they have the best isolation and that's all that really matters if you play in clubs. Obviously sound quality has a small part to play but not much but none of them would have crap sound quality anyway? Have you thought about a pair of urbanears zinken? They are really strong quality and have good isolation as well.

yeah they are all pro standard i guess so they will all do the job just fine, but obviously i want to make the best choice. i havnt heard of the urbanears zinken. Well i just googled it and they seem to be great also. Very true about the isolation with the sennheisers, that is very important. Its a toss up between the Sen's and the Technics i think

    Order of preference.
    1) Sennheiser 25 (best ones for DJ purposes, very popular for that matter)
    2) Technics RP DH1200

    3) Pioneer HDJ500 (I recommend you stay away from these)

+1 the Pioneers are possibly one the worst sounding "dj" headphones out there, and they feel horrible to wear.

Also check out the HD25 Amperiors which can be had for almost half the price of the HD25 - with the same build as the new HD25 Alu, some say they sound better.

I have the urban ears zinken. It puzzles me that not more people are talking about them. I've seen many pro dj's with them. Sven Väth n shit.

Consider them OP. They are around €80-100

I actually got these a couple of weeks ago, really impressed with them.

Great sound quality, sturdy build, and cheap. Picked mine up for £55.

Thanks to all who replied. Yes i had a search online about the Urban ears zinken. They look amazing. But there are a lack of reviews online as they are relatively a new product. I feel comforted by the positive reviews of the Sen HD25's so that is probably now my choice......at the moment

Probably because when you do a side by side comparison with a decent set of headphones you come away with a sense of disgust. However they tick enough boxes for non-critical audio applications like DJ'ing Live e.g. Loud, Robust and Stylish.

And you've tested them I assume?
